FitTech shifts from LED to optical communications, eyes InP relief
FitTech is pivoting away from the crowded LED market into optical communications, with outsourced chip testing and sorting orders set to rise month by month from the third quarter as a shortage of indium phosphide (InP) materials that had constrained shipments in the first half of 2026 gradually eases. The company said it has already secured outsourced orders from at least two major customers, while downstream customers have recently raised their 2027 order outlook.
