The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct: all the news and trailers

The company is airing a <em>Zelda</em>-themed Direct on September 8th at 10AM ET (<a href="https://www.theverge.com/games/990207/nintendo-direct-zelda-40th" data-type="link" data-id="https://www.theverge.com/games/990207/nintendo-direct-zelda-40th">it&#8217;s actually the first of two news-filled events</a>), which is expected to last around 30 minutes and, according to Nintendo, will include a &#8220;variety of information related to <em>The Legend of&nbsp;Zelda</em>.&#8221;</p> <p class="wp-block-paragraph">That&#8217;s a pretty vague description, but the event will almost certainly include more details on the upcoming <em>Ocarina of Time</em> remake for the Switch 2, which currently doesn&#8217;t have a release date, as well as the live-action <em>Zelda</em> movie that hits theaters in 2027. But given the length of the event, there will likely be some surprises as well.
