Realtek expands cloud AI push with ASIC and SSD chips

Realtek chairman Sun-Chien Chiu, who received an honorary fellowship from Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) this week, said in a public interview that the company is already generating revenue from ASIC projects and has started expanding into 3nm products. Although Realtek's ASIC business is still far smaller than MediaTek's, Chiu said it will continue to grow as more projects come in.
