Nintendo Direct September 2026: The biggest news and trailers

On Wednesday, the company will be airing <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_QJ4BYIGME">its next Nintendo Direct</a>, which will spotlight Switch 2 games “launching this winter” in an approximately 45-minute presentation. Right after the Direct, Nintendo will also air <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcW4T-rW6NI">a Treehouse Live stream</a> that&#8217;s set to run for about 110 minutes.</p> <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Now that Nintendo&#8217;s release schedule is set through November — its other big upcoming releases include <em>Fire Emblem: Fortune&#8217;s Weave</em> on September 17th and <em>Nintendo Switch Sports Resort</em> on October 22nd — Wednesday&#8217;s showcase could be the first meaningful look at Nintendo&#8217;s next big batch of games. Major new entries in the <em>Pokémon</em> and <em>Xenoblade</em> franchises are already on the calendar for 2027, but perhaps we&#8217;ll see more during the show.</p> <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Follow our coverage of the September 2026 Nintendo Direct right here.
