Lynas says Malaysia heavy rare earth project has gone over budget

Lynas Rare Earths said its heavy rare earth expansion in Malaysia has gone over budget as the Australia-based miner works to build out a non-China supply chain. The disclosure came alongside the latest quarterly results for the period ended June 30, 2026, in which revenue reached AU$289 million (US$202 million), up 70% year on year and the strongest level in four years.
