Research institutions across Taiwan are focusing heavily on two-dimensional (2D) materials, celebrated for their atomic-scale thickness and superior gate-control capabilities, to help the semiconductor industry overcome bottlenecks in large-area, high-yield production and maintain Taiwan's technological lead in sub-1nm nodes.
