OpenAI, Microsoft filings intensify copyright fight over AI training
<p class="P1" data-start="2998" data-end="3366">New court filings from <em data-start="3021" data-end="3041">The New York Times</em> and other news organizations have put OpenAI and Microsoft's internal comments on AI and journalism at the center of a widening copyright dispute in the US. The documents, cited by <em data-start="3223" data-end="3240">Financial Times</em> and Reuters, are being used to challenge the companies' fair use defense in a case that has stretched for nearly three years.
