Meta has teamed up with Walmart, Stripe, and AI startup Sierra to develop the Personal Agent Protocol, an open standard designed to let AI agents interact with corporate websites and services with authorization. The move aims to address a growing challenge as AI agents spread rapidly: companies increasingly struggle to tell whether a website visitor is the user or an AI agent acting on the user's behalf, CNBC reported.
