NSTC abolishes KPI system to encourage high-risk research
Taiwan's National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) has abolished its research KPI system, noting that failed projects will not affect professors' future applications for funding. The aim is to encourage academic researchers to pursue research with lower success rates and greater potential impact.
