PSA: Your watch band may be messing with your laptop – magnetic clasps can cause lid sensors to lock your PC

It’s likely a niche issue, but I discovered recently that my magnetic watch clasp was confusing an Acer laptop into thinking I was closing and opening the lid, causing me to repeatedly get logged out of Windows just as I tried to type.
