Titanium boosts thermoelectric performance of thin films by 250-fold

Data Center
Every electronic device, factory and vehicle generates heat that often goes to waste. What if that energy could be recovered to generate electricity using thin films manufactured without high-temperature processing? Researchers at Tohoku University have taken a step toward making this possible, developing a thermoelectric material that delivers a 250-fold increase in power factor by adding a small amount of titanium to chromium nitride.
