Delta's move into HVDC signals a shift in AI data-center power

Delta Electronics is moving from planning to early shipments in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems as rising power demand from Nvidia's next-generation AI platforms pushes data center infrastructure toward a new architecture. Chairman Ping Cheng said HVDC has reached the shipment stage, with larger volumes still expected in 2027.
